The production of natural cosmetics produced to the high standards of CULUMNATURA® is regulated by the rules of the food law. (Not only can one eat several of our products without hesitation, they even promote health, e.g., the cutem skin treatment oil.)
We consequently strive for providing natural, honest and high quality natural cosmetics, and we chose the most rigorous food law of the world as our standard: the Austrian food laws which are based on the Codex Alimentarius Austriacus. It is the basis of all food standards today, even the standards of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are based on it.
The regulations agreed in the Codex are mainly more rigid than the standards of the European Union and thereby guarantee consumers the highest quality.
Moreover, CULUMNATURA® natural cosmetics are governed by the Humane Cosmetics Standard (HCS) (http://www.kosmethik.at). It is the worldwide only standard which guarantees that cosmetics are not tested on animals.
And for us it goes without saying that oils, essential oils, herbs and other organic ingredients used by us come from certified organic farming or wild harvesting in selected, unspoilt natural areas.
